Description : Mookambika temple located at the foot of the Western Ghats, on the top of Kodachadri hill . The temple is dedicated to goddess Mookambika , who is in the form of a 'Jyotirlinga',the incorporating aspects of Shiva and Shakti. The temple attracts thousands of tourists. Another attraction of this place is Arishna Gundi Water falls. It is a beautiful water fall with a special effect of sunrays falling on the water droplets and gives a orange/yellow co lour and so called as Arishna (Turmeric/yellow).
