Description :
A very well maintained national park. This place is where the highest peak in south India is found. Private vehicles are not allowed here. Waited 2 hours in a long snaking queueto enter. Best to take reserved tickets from the forest office situated 6 km down. A mini bus takes you further to the interior of sanctuary where there is a coffee shop and a museum which has a brief introduction of the ecosystem and origin of Nilgiri Thars. Apart from Nilgiri Thars we could not see any other animal, but the view from bus ride is awesome. It offers breath taking views of the surrounding areas and tea estates. The place is a must-visit for photographers.
