These nepalis were brought by the British during their Burma campaign as porters from Nepal..
They were left behind after the war ended..
Here they embraced christianity as well as manipuri Kuki culture..
But still live in abject poverty with hardships in hilly villages in cleared forest lands away from ethnic manipuris...
