The residence of the former Viceroy of India and presently the residence of the President of India is marked with great majesty and regiment with its imperial design. This copper domed palace has 340 splendidly decorated rooms on the eminence of Raisina hill. Designed by Sir Edwin Luthensa, it was completed and occupied in 1929. Spread over an area 330 acres, it has an elegant Mughal garden which is open to the public once a year in the month of February.
